August 2009 - Animal Shelter Volunteering
On August 15th from 9-12 am over 20 SECULAR Center volunteers worked at a local no-kill animal shelter in the Houston Heights area We took care of their cats by giving them some needed love and attention and cleaning their living spaces. We also performed some touch-up painting, office work, yard work, reorganized their storeroom, and completed some special projects. We got a lot done and there was something for everyone, including kids!
